Generating income through popular NFT games like Axie or Crabada is a phenomenon that is taking off, because what’s better than earning money while you play. But what if you could generate income by playing the big traditional video games like Fortnite or Dota? This is what AVAXP proposes. What they intend is to create a system based on the Avalanche network in which you can bet on the performance or skills of a player, transmitting aspects of play-to-earn to traditional platforms. But how? If you want to know the details, I recommend you read their blog. Anyone can create a ‘Contest’, in which users can bet using the $AXP token within a pool, and the one who gets the highest performance will get 90% of what is accumulated in the pool. The creator of the ‘Contest’ can decide on the following issues:

  • Game title – Runescape, Dota 2, League Of Legends, etc.
  • The entry fee in $AXP
  • Maximum number of entrants
  • A number of games to account for between a specific timeframe. For example, the last 5 games played from June 23rd, 2022 – June 24th, 2022
  • Maximum game-rank [limited based on your tier of skill such as MMR or KDA ratio].
  • Scoring system. Contest hosts can either use the default AXP scoring system or create their own for unique scoring contests.

The first games included on its platform will be the already very popular Runescape, League of Legends, Dota 2, and Fortnite, although more will be added in the future. Each game follows a point system, for example in LoL you get 3 points for a kill, 2 points for an assist, and -1 point for a death. If you want to see how it works in the other games, click here

Regarding their token (here their tokenomics), $AXP will be used for wagering, creating contests, single stake, and governance over platform decisions. As mentioned above, the winner of the contest gets 90% of the tokens accumulated in the pool, with 1% going to the creator of the contest and 9% going back to the platform as follows:

  • 5% goes to AVAXP
  • 2% goes to the ecosystem fund
  • Another 2% goes to the staking Rewards fund
  • 1% goes to the host

During the current Q1 of 2022, their roadmap indicates that they are preparing both the public and private sale, developing their whitepaper and launching the $AXP token on a large DeX like Trader Joe’s or Pangolin. At the beginning of Q2 is when it is planned to launch as a closed Beta platform, including Fortnite and Runescape; we will have to wait until Q3 to test its open version, to see more games included and to be able to explore the potential of the project. If you’re a gamer, this project has probably caught your attention, so keep an eye on it! In the meantime, I recommend you sign up to their whitelist.
